Outreach

The RIFA Outreach Ministry helps individuals and families in crisis.  We provide good used clothing, housewares, and furniture to those in emergency situations.  We assist with food, utilities, rent payments, and provide gas vouchers in situations such as job search, fire, physical abuse, and illness.  We provide showers, towels, toiletries, and a place to wash clothes.  A multitude of addtional resources are made available to those who qualify. 

We work with our clients, helping them learn life skills such as money management, taking responsibility, and setting priorities.  Classes are provided to teach interviewing skills, resume preparation, dressing for the workplace, etc.  (See Life Enrichment and Christian Women's Job Corp.)  Prayers, encouragement, and the witness of God's love are offered to all persons. 

We minister to everyone in Christ's name.  Our desire is to help restore lives and to make a bad situation better.  We develop a relationship with clients and work with them to help them through the entire crisis period.  We want to know when our clients leave RIFA that, with God's help, they will be able to stand on their own.
